For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
If any think they are religious, and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, their religion is worthless.If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens the wits of another.Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself.Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing personal opinion.A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

If another disciple sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if there is repentance, you must forgive. And if the same person sins against you seven times a day, and turns back to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive.If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
