Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'They'
- When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;
then they forgot me. - Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
- Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
- After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
- But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. - Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted. - “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.” - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
- They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.
- And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
- When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
- Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
- On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
- Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
- Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled. - Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor. - The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
- They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
- Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed.
Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.Next verse!With image
