- How great is your goodness, O Lord,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you,

- However, you, dear friends, must build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God as you await our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy, who will grant you eternal life.
- Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;

with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich,
he humbles and he also exalts. - Train a child in the way he should go,
and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. - There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing secret that will not become known.
- For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and every other commandment are all summed up in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great:
He was made visible in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed to the Gentiles,
believed in throughout the world,
taken up in glory. - As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing.
- Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
- But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me;
you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. - O Lord, you have examined me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I stand;
you perceive my thoughts from a distance.
