- I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts. - Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched? - For we live by faith, not by sight.
- Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord. - He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. - This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,

But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” - He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. - So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,

- If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
- Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him. - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
- Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,

When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze. - Walk with the wise and become wise,

who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it. - Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others. - I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.
- The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights. - If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.
- Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - The lips of fools bring them strife,
and their mouths invite a beating. - Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
- And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
- They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
