- Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
- But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
- Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
- Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done. - And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
- “And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.” - Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
- And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
- Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
- Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
- I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
- Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many. - “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord. - To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. - This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
- Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
- If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
- So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
- For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
