Who (3/4)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.
But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.
Honour widows that are widows indeed.Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace!
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper.

But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”
