He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.
He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me.
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
