After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”But when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
