Put (2/3)

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!”Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.
So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.The hand of the diligent will rule, while the lazy will be put to forced labor.
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I am not afraid; what can flesh do to me?
A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil.
“Don’t you understand either?” he asked. “Can’t you see that the food you put into your body cannot defile you? Food doesn’t go into your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer.” (By saying this, he declared that every kind of food is acceptable in God’s eyes.)He said to them, “Then do you also fail to understand? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile, since it enters, not the heart but the stomach, and goes out into the sewer?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver.For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.
If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.
Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
