- Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip. - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. - Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
- Thy word is true from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
- He sent his word, and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions. - He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
- The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
- Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
- Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
- For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
- All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
- It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him. - Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
