Chinese (traditional)In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” Ah Lord God! It is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.” All who have sinned apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.” For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. The human mind plans the way,
but the Lord directs the steps. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. Therefore you are great, O Lord God; for there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ The young lions suffer want and hunger,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers. When they bring you to trial and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say; but say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else? I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.Next verse!With image
