Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” There is a way that appears to be right,
but in the end it leads to death. Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life,
but whoever shows contempt for their ways will die. Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.Next verse!With image
