Chinese (traditional)Kind words are like honey—
sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen. Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber. Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth! Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. There are “friends” who destroy each other,
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” There is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death. So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help. Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Those who control their tongue will have a long life;
opening your mouth can ruin everything. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Keep the commandments and keep your life;
despising them leads to death. Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.Next verse!With image
