In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him. As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. For a thousand years in thy sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I will be glad and rejoice in thee:
I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. Can a woman forget her sucking child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
yea, they may forget,
yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before me. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour.Next verse!With image
