Chinese (traditional)Iron sharpens iron,
and one person sharpens the wits of another. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord. Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” All day long the wicked covet,
but the righteous give and do not hold back. The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you. Your decrees are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. But because of cases of sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives;
those who open wide their lips come to ruin. Let the believer who is lowly boast in being raised up, and the rich in being brought low, because the rich will disappear like a flower in the field. And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me. You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no flaw in you. It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him. He gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless. I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I set your ordinances before me. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.” Those who are attentive to a matter will prosper,
and happy are those who trust in the Lord. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of heaven, and will give to your offspring all these lands; and all the nations of the earth shall gain blessing for themselves through your offspring, because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. As far as the east is from the west,
so far he removes our transgressions from us. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.Next verse!With image
