Chinese (traditional)You are a place of refuge for me;
you preserve me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both. A patient man shows good sense,
but a quick-tempered man displays the height of folly. Put on the armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the deceit of the devil. Follow my statutes and keep my commandments and obey them. Then I will give you rain in its proper season and the yield of the land shall increase and the trees of the field shall bear their fruit. Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them the path to follow. For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these. Blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and whose hope is the Lord.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that spreads out its roots to the stream.
When the heat comes, it does not fear;
its leaves stay green.
It is not concerned in a year of drought,
and it never fails to bear fruit. Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life and honor too. For we are not struggling against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, the powers, and the cosmic rulers of this present darkness, and against the spirits of evil in the heavens. You shall take heed to observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, and the decrees and statutes that he has given to you. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools are those who despise wisdom and instruction. Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses. For everyone born of God
conquers the world.
And the victory that conquers the world
is our faith. The fear of others will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure. In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words. When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. Thus you will not prostitute yourselves by following after the lusts in your own heart or your own eyes. For his anger lasts for only a moment,
while his goodwill endures for a lifetime.
Weeping may last throughout the night,
but at daybreak there is rejoicing. Beloved,
let us love one another,
because love is from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. The tongue has the power over life and death;
those who cherish it will enjoy its fruits. He proclaimed his covenant to you which he ordered you to fulfill, the Ten Commandments, that he wrote upon two tablets of stone. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do. No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things. As sorrowful, and yet we are always rejoicing; as poor, and yet we make many rich; as having nothing, and yet we possess everything. The fear of the Lord provides instruction in wisdom,
and to be humble is the way to honor. Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain, for the Lord will not consider blameless those who take his name in vain. As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.Next verse!With image
