Chinese (traditional)And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of the children of mankind! And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves;
therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend,
and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity.
Better is a neighbor who is near
than a brother who is far away. Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out. Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is! If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine. I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”Next verse!With image
