- Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
- By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).
- My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights. - As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
- He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
- Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
- And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple. - And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
- And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
- As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him. - But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.
- Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me for Your mercies’ sake. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
- Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.A fool despises his father’s instruction,
