Chinese (traditional)- No weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper,
and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
and their vindication from me, says the Lord. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord rescues them from them all. - Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- Speak out, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.
- But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - Learn to do good;
seek justice,
rescue the oppressed,
defend the orphan,
plead for the widow. - For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path. - Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? - Better is a little with righteousness
than large income with injustice. - For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
- Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness?
- With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. - For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction.
- Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous.
There is a way that seems right to a person,
but its end is the way to death.O Lord, all my longing is known to you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
