- Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
- Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
- When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”
- When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
- For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”
- Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”
I said, “Here I am. Send me.” - And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
- Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
- Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”
- And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
- Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.
- Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
- But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
- Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
- Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” - And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
- I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.” - “All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.Next verse! With image
