- Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
- Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
- When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”
- Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
- When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- “All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”
- Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”
- Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”
I said, “Here I am. Send me.” - Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
- And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
- Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.
- But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
- Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” - Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
- I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.” - “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
- Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
- One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”
- Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.”
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”Those who love your instructions have great peace
and do not stumble. I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.Next verse!With image
