What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad.My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself.
I will, thereby, display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known to many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.
If you, then, despite your evil nature, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!

So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him, “If you remain faithful to my word, you will truly be my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Pay to each person what is rightfully his—taxes to the one to whom taxes are due, tolls to the one to whom tolls are due, respect to the one to whom respect is due, honor to the one to whom honor is due.Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
He continued, “Then put away the foreign gods from among you. Bend your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”“Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”

Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went inside, and he saw and believed. They still did not understand the Scripture indicating that he must rise from the dead.Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.
