- And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
- Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
- Then keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - It is rash to pledge a sacred gift,
or to make a vow and then have second thoughts. - The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son.
- This is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
- Seek good and not evil,
so that you may live.
Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you
as you claim he is. - God is not human, that he should lie,
or the son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act,
does he promise and then not fulfill it? - Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.
- Hence, I advise you to be guided by the Spirit, so that you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
- When the command is given, at the sound of the archangel’s voice and the call of God’s trumpet, the Lord himself will descend from heaven, and those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise. Then those of us who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them on clouds in the air to meet the Lord. And so, we will be with the Lord forever.
- However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago.
- He said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not realize that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not into the heart but into the stomach and is discharged into the sewer?” Thus, he pronounced all foods clean.
- Then Jesus said to him,
“You have come to believe
because you have seen me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.” - Therefore, if the Son sets you free,
you then will truly be free. - Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- God blessed the seventh day and he consecrated it, for on it he rested from all the work he had done when he created all things.
- Let what you heard from the beginning
remain in you.
If what you heard from the beginning

then you will remain in the Son
and in the Father. - Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
- Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.”
- Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt.
I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,”
and you removed the guilt of my sin. Selah - And God said, “Let us make man in our image and likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the wild animals and reptiles that crawl upon the earth.”
