- And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

let this be known in all the earth. - Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
- Jesus answered, “My kingdom does not belong to this world. If my kingdom belonged to this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.”
- For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
- This poor soul cried and was heard by the Lord
and was saved from every trouble. - This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel
and excellent in wisdom. - For whatever is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world, our faith.
- In everything do to others as you would have them do to you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me, yet not what I want but what you want.
- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
- This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.
- The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”
- While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
- As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.
- In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
- And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
- And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
- Sober up, as you rightly ought to, and sin no more, for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
- The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

- Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
