- But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
- I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
- I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,
and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:
for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
- Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
- But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
- Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. - Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
- For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
- And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Because I delivered the poor that cried,
and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me:
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
- There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
- Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. - Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord. - And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
- And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
- I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
