| Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. | The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. |

| But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. | Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously. |
| Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. | Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. |
| And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. | This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. |

| He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. | One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility. |
