- For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
- All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word. - But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever. - As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
- Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
- Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.
- The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
- In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
- For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. - Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
- Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. - Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
- And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip.With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;
but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.Next verse!With image
