Chinese (traditional)All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing is not hidden from you. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Like a city whose walls are broken through
is a person who lacks self-control. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness. And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.Next verse!With image
