Chinese (traditional)Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake. Do not judge, or you too will be judged. Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.” I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. Who is he, this King of glory?
