Chinese (traditional)And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess. Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him. My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. When thou passest through the waters,
I will be with thee;
and through the rivers,
they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire,
thou shalt not be burned;
neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. Salvation belongeth unto the Lord:
thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. Who will render to every man according to his deeds. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.Next verse!With image
