But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
bind them about thy neck;
write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.Next verse!With image
