Chinese (traditional)For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever. By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. The Lord your God you shall follow, him alone you shall fear, his commandments you shall keep, his voice you shall obey, him you shall serve, and to him you shall hold fast. And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God. But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch. So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Happy are those who keep his decrees,
who seek him with their whole heart. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul. While I kept silence, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long. Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.” As far as the east is from the west,
so far he removes our transgressions from us. I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.Next verse!With image
