Chinese (traditional)And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. The wise in heart accept commands,
but a chattering fool comes to ruin. Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well. Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity. And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. There is no one holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God. The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips
and spreads slander is a fool. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
