Chinese (traditional)- Be still, and know that I am God:
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth. - Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
- For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
- Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy. - And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. - Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
- And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
- Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me.
