- But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. - Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. - A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. - So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
- Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm. - A gossip betrays a confidence,
but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. - This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - Dishonest money dwindles away,
but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. - Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
- Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
- The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. - So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?” - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
