Giving to the needy (2/4)

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make His deeds known among the peoples.
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help.
To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.To do righteousness and justice Is preferred by the Lord more than sacrifice.
This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek me and live.”For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me so that you may live.”
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.Praise the Lord in song, for He has done glorious things; Let this be known throughout the earth.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.”

A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.

Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.”
