therefore will I hope in him. - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God? - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

or who is a rock save our God? - And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
- Because I delivered the poor that cried,
and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me:
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is. - Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
- Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
