- He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end.
- Moreover, the one to whom God grants wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them and to find contentment in his toil receives a gift from God.
- Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but the one who hates correction is stupid. - As far as the east is from the west,

and even more satisfying is a word in season. - For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.
- “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
- If a man has recently been married, he is not to go off to battle nor have any other duty laid on him. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married.
- Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.
- Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless
is the man devoid of self-control. - Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - You might say to yourself, “How can we know that the Lord did not speak the message?” If what the prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord is not true and it does not happen, then the message was not proclaimed by the Lord. The prophet has spoken presumptuously, you should not fear him.
- Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’ - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Some friends can lead us to ruin,
but a true friend is closer than a brother. - A husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise a wife should fulfill her conjugal obligations to her husband. For a wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise, a husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
