- O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever. - I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.

- So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.
- And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”
- He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
- And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.
- But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
- No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.
- For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”
- Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
- I cried aloud to him,
and he was extolled with my tongue. - But he was wounded for our transgressions,
crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the punishment that made us whole,
and by his bruises we are healed. - Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
