Chinese (traditional)If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. With my soul have I desired thee in the night;
yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
for when thy judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Seek the Lord, and his strength:
seek his face evermore. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O Lord, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name,
and to the remembrance of thee. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
