Chinese (traditional)For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. Whoever covers an offense seeks love,
but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. The wise of heart will receive commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long. If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart. And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce. So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?” “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord delivers him out of them all. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Do not envy a man of violence
and do not choose any of his ways,
for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
