Chinese (traditional)Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. Too much talk leads to sin.
Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. The teaching of your word gives light,
so even the simple can understand. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us! Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. Just as the rich rule the poor,
so the borrower is servant to the lender. Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.” Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. I love the Lord because he hears my voice
and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath! For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God. The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble? “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. The lips of the godly speak helpful words,
but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Gentle words are a tree of life;
a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.Next verse! With image
