Chinese (traditional)For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:
he that keepeth understanding shall find good. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Next verse!With image
