| Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. | Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. |
| Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? | Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart. | The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. |
| Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. | Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. |
| Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. | Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
