turn your foot away from evil. - If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
- Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
- Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.

- And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.
- There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers. - For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
- No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
- Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.

Has he promised, and will he not do it?
Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
- A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
- Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. - Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- Woe to you who strive with your Maker,
earthen vessels with the potter!
Does the clay say to the one who fashions it, “What are you making”?
