but the Lord weighs the heart. - To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life and honor. - All day long the wicked covet,
but the righteous give and do not hold back. - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. - The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life. - Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - The rich rules over the poor,
and the borrower is the slave of the lender. - Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
be wise enough to desist. - When your eyes light upon it, it is gone;
for suddenly it takes wings to itself,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - My child, if your heart is wise,
my heart too will be glad. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will be glad in him. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;

Better is a neighbor who is nearby
than kindred who are far away. - The clever see danger and hide;

so one human heart reflects another. - When one will not listen to the law,
even one's prayers are an abomination. - No one who conceals transgressions will prosper,

but one who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. - The fear of others lays a snare,
but one who trusts in the Lord is secure. - Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that I need. - Speak out for those who cannot speak,
for the rights of all the destitute. - Speak out, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy. - A capable wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels. - Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Give heed to my reproof;
I will pour out my thoughts to you;
I will make my words known to you. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly.
