Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” Romans 7:7	What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin law desires

So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment. 2 Peter 2:9	Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from a trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment. temptation judgment punishment
Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority. Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Galatians 5:16	But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. sin Spirit desires
Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. Romans 8:8	And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. sin dependence desires
Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last. Luke 23:46	And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died. easter Jesus Father
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:10	So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. gentleness neighbor goodness
And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord.
