And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;
but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee;
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord:
O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble. Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.Next verse!With image
