Bible Verses about 'Days are evil'
- Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - For, “Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.” - Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”. - Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions. - Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
- Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech. - There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord.
- Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it. - Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. - A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
- Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
- Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
- One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.
- Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;

- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man. - But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
