Chinese (traditional)Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:
but he that hateth reproof is brutish. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name:
make known his deeds among the people. And I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and I will save the house of Joseph,
and I will bring them again to place them;
for I have mercy upon them:
and they shall be as though I had not cast them off:
for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. For I the Lord thy God
will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not;
I will help thee. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.Next verse!With image
