Bible Verses about '"open the eyes of my heart"'
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry. - Your decrees are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - So that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.
- My child, if your heart is wise,
my heart too will be glad. - Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves.
- Turn my heart to your decrees,
and not to selfish gain. - I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - So I will display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.
- I treasure your word in my heart,
so that I may not sin against you. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is clear,
enlightening the eyes. - Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him. - Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.
- Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I look upon a virgin? - You have the fringe so that, when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes.
- Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your doings
from before my eyes;
cease to do evil. - All deeds are right in the sight of the doer,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - For all that is in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, the pride in riches—comes not from the Father but from the world.
- I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - All one's ways may be pure in one's own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the spirit. - Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - Just as water reflects the face,
so one human heart reflects another. - The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
- The wise of heart will heed commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. - Anxiety weighs down the human heart,
but a good word cheers it up. - With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - A cheerful heart is a good medicine,
but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I display my holiness before their eyes.
- They will hunger no more, and thirst no more;
the sun will not strike them,
nor any scorching heat;
for the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of the water of life,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. - The heart is devious above all else;
it is perverse—
who can understand it?
I the Lord test the mind
and search the heart,
to give to all according to their ways,
according to the fruit of their doings. - The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
